Increase in tourism in the Valle d’Itria: the numbers speak for themselves

In 2018, Apulia was confirmed once again as an important tourist destination and consolidated its presence on foreign markets. This emerged from the partial data relative to the first seven months of 2018 made public by Pugliapromozione, the regional tourist board.

Data by province are: Foggia +4.5% of arrivals and +2% of visitors, Barletta-Andria-Trani +4% and +8%, Bari +4% and +6%, Brindisi -1% and +2%, Lecce +0.5% and -1.5% and Taranto +3% and +6%.

Interest is increasing in alternative destinations (for example, Carovigno, San Giovanni Rotondo, Monopoli, Vieste, Polignano a Mare, Otranto, Conversano, Martina Franca) that offer tourists cultural attractions as well as seaside holidays.
